Parents have been asked to receive their children as schools break off for holidays to ensure their safety to maintain discipline as they involve them into domestic work and not spending most time on watching television.

The Deputy Resident City Commissioner Mbarara city north division Mbarara city Robert Kanusu said this at the fifth concert and graduation ceremony of Mbarara Quality Kindergarten in Lugazi Kakoba in Mbarara city south division.

Kanusu challenged the government to review it's policy of closing Primary Teachers' Colleges which are basic foundation of acquiring quality skills in teaching toddlers with love, care and smile making children grow liking to study than employing degree teachers not trained in nursery teaching learning process.

The mayor Mbarara city Robert Mugabi Kacebezi appealed to the parents to welcome and protect their children from schools with lovely parental heart and protect them from escaping from homes ending up drowning in rivers and wells and joining bad congregations to learn bad habits.

He advised the parents to engage their children in domestic duties, educating them good discipline to stay in good environment and to avoid sending their children to relatives where they are not safe.

The director Mbarara Quality Kindergarten Lugazi Mrs Asasira Jesca revealed that the purpose of organizing the concert and graduation in the school aims at giving accountability to the parents and promote co-curricukar activities and encourage children to love education.

Rev Apollo Tigume the Chaplain Ankole Diocese who lead opening and closing prayers urged parents to warmly welcome their children in their homes and give them real parental care they deserve to live happily.

Rev Tigume says for parents engaging their children in domestic work and teaching them good discipline are essential to encourage them stay disciplined as treasurer brought to them by the Almighty God for children being future responsible leaders and citizens in the country.
