The Minister of lands, housing and urban development Ms Judith Nabakooba has directed district leaders of Kamwenge district to ensure transparency in the construction and distribution of stalls in Nkoma -Katalyeba market for better service delivery to the poor.

Nabakooba said this while officiating at ground breaking ceremony for construction of Nkoma_Katalyeba market shed, taxi park and Mutwe-Kyamwera road 7.4 km in Nkoma -Katalyeba town council  Kibalr East Kamwenge district.

The projects funded under Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure Development - Additional Finance USMID-AF program will cost over Shs 16 billion supported by the government of Uganda through the ministry of lands, housing and urban development.

The projects shall be done  and completed in eight months expecting handover quality works that exhibits value of money.

Hon Nabakooba informed the public that to ensure transparent accountability and value for money to avoid shoddy works the ministry has put up a toll free line 0800100004 which are supposed to report and issues.
